Watertec Enterprises is the leading producer of Demineralization Plants. Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from water using the ion exchange process. Demineralized water, also known as Deionized water, is water that has been depleted of mineral ions. Water contains mineral ions such as sodium, calcium, iron, copper, and others, as well as anions such as chloride, sulfate, and nitrate. Deionization is a physical process that uses specially manufactured ion exchange resins to provide an ion exchange site for mineral salts in water to be replaced with water, resulting in the formation of H+ and OH- ions. Because the majority of water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces high-purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and the process is quick and without scale buildup.
